ITINERARY

Day 1 

Our driver will meet you early morning at your Athens accommodation and head out of the city towards Northern Greece. After a stop to one of the most famous battlefields in the history,

Thermopylae, we make our way to the beautiful town of Trikala. You can walk around the river and the old town and why not bicycle as Trikala is probably the most bike-friendly city in Greece! You can also admire the byzantine castle, the clock-tower and visit the Kursum Mosque. Lunch break (depending on the weather this can also be done at the mountain village of Elati) and then we will make our way to Meteora after a stop at the stunning stone bridge and waterfall of Palaiokarya. We arrive at Meteora where you will get a glimpse of the monasteries at sunset. Overnight at a hotel with rooms that overlook the rocks.

Day 2

After breakfast, the driver will take you to visit the monasteries (2 or 3 depending on your interest). Then we will make our long way back to Athens (about 4-hour drive) with lunch stop at the seaside town of Kamena Vourla. Arrival at your accommodation around 6pm.

NOTES :

  1. Are you very keen on monasteries? We can remove Trikala from the itinerary and go straight to Meteora so you can visit some of the monasteries the first day as well.
  2. Travelling with children around Christmas? Trikala offers the speactular Mill of Elves which your children will enjoy!

When your driver must concentrate during difficult driving conditions, please refrain from any distracting behaviour as your safety during the tour is our top priority. Your Driver will drop you off as close to the sites as legally possible and in accordance to the Municipality and Traffic laws of Athens. Our service is solely confirmed when the potential customer has received and email confirming services along with the details of the tour. If the confirmation email is not received than please conclude that the service has not been confirmed. We suggest you contact us immediately for further clarification.

Private transfers & tours with private driver and vehicle

  • Our vehicles are disinfected prior to your transfer or tour. Specifically in-between transfers, our drivers have at least 40 minutes to clean the car and ventilate the cabin.
  • Driver will be wearing protective mask.
  • Clients are obligated to wear protective masks inside the vehicle
