ITINERARY

  • Our driver will meet you at your Athens accommodation in the early morning to begin your journey to one the most important archeological sights of Greece. After a 2-hour and 15 minute – drive through the highway and pass by the towns of Livadia and Arachova, we reach Delphi, also known as the “navel of the earth”.
  • You will start your visit with the Castalia Spring and the main site (Temple of Apollo, the Treasury of the Athenians,the Theatre and the Stadium) and afterwards the Museum with its rich collections. Usually people spend about 2.5 hours at both.
  • It is now time to have a lunch break (approximately 90 minutes) at a local greek authentic restaurant before you make a short visit to the Temple of Athena Pronea and the Tholos.
  • As we leave Delphi behind and driving down the mountain Parnassus, we can make an optional stop at Chelonia to see the Lion, a marble monument.
  • After a 2-hour drive though the highway again, our driver will drop you off at your accommodation

 

          EXTENDED OPTIONS :

  1. Hosios Loukas : You will be able to visit the 1000 – year old monastery listed as one of      the Unesco World Heritage sites.There will be additional 2 hours to the original trip (about 1 hour is spent at the monastery)
  2. Livadia & Arachova : You will be able to stop at Piges Kryas in Livadia, Chaeronia battlefield and at the picturesque town of Arachova at the foot of Mt Parnassos. There will be additional 2 hours to the original tour (about 90 minutes spent at both villages) .
  3. Thermopylae : You will be able to visit the famous battlefield of Thermopylae, the small museum and the statue of Leonidas. There will be additional 3 hours to the original trip.
  4. Thebes :  You will stop at the new Thebes museum to admire its reach and unique collections. This will be an additional 2 hours of the usual itinerary.

TERMS OF SERVICE

For your safety inside the vehicle, drivers provide commentary only when it is deemed safe to do so while driving. When your driver must concentrate during difficult driving conditions, please refrain from any distracting behaviour as your safety during the tour is our top priority. Your Driver will drop you off as close to the sites as legally possible and in accordance to the Municipality and Traffic laws of Athens. Our service is solely confirmed when the potential customer has received and email confirming services along with the details of the tour. If the confirmation email is not received than please conclude that the service has not been confirmed. We suggest you contact us immediately for further clarification.

Entrance fees into the archaeological areas of Delphi and its Museum are 12 Euro total pp.
